Once we feel safe enough, grounded, and worthy of being here in this body (EARTH element), we are able to explore and experience life’s natural flow (WATER)

Affirmations: I am nourished, I flow with life’s tides, I let my feelings come and go, The nourishment of life flows through me, I fully taste all of life’s flavors.

Swadhisthana chakra is located at the tip of the tailbone, very close to Muladhara. Symbolized by a six-petaled, crimson orange lotus, containing a crescent moon, Swadhistana chakra is related to the deep and unexplored waters of our unconscious mind, the sea of our emotions, cravings, and drives.

The meaning in Sanskrit of Swadhistana is “our own abode.” I believe that integrating an awareness of the energy of water and bringing our emotions to our conscious mind can allow us to flow freely with life, so that challenges may come and go without getting stuck as trauma or pain. This can help us to feel at home in any situation, ebbing and flowing with life.

From this place of flow, we can let in the nourishment and, like the moon, receive and reflect the light of life.

BODY: Knees to navel - pelvic bowl and reproductive organs, bodily fluids.

NERVOUS SYSTEM: Limbic System (seat of strong emotion), the unconscious mind
