Yoga Therapy Sessions

So… what is yoga therapy anyway?

Yoga should always be therapeutic, so the term “Yoga Therapy” might seem a little redundant. But in the mainstream, yoga is so often confused as merely a type of chic exercise, that an emphasis on the healing power of yoga is an intentional re-alignment with yoga as truth, as transformation, and as a practice accessible to all. And in our world of titles and certificates, it is also an 800-hr training that I was blessed enough to participate in through Niroga Institute in Berkeley.

In one-on-one sessions I will work with your healing goals to design an individualized “prescription” of practices primarily involving breathing, movement and meditation. Sometimes visualizations, chanting, journaling and ritual may also support your process. If we work together over time, your “prescription” and our sessions together will evolve to meet your changing needs and capacities.

The work, the healing and the transformation will unfold in your lifestyle, body, energy, heart and mind.

Sita is loving, thoughtful, and non-judgmental. She is also deeply knowledgeable about how the body works and how to modify for injuries.
